Batum Central is home to most residents, schools, shopping centers and small local businesses. The area has many parks and fashionable beaches, as well as Soviet era apartment blocks that house the city's large impoverished population. It's a dramatic contrast to upscale apartments & condos that stay vacant most of the year until the summer tourist season. Photo shots begin with Batumi Boulevard Park along the sea shore, Batumi Central Park and Roman columns at it's entrance, various street scenes including dilapidated housing alongside new high rise developments, the Batumi Seafront Promenade and Metrocity Mall in the last photo
