Windhoek is Namibia's largest city and national capital which forms the cutural, economic, political, and social hearbeat of the nation. The city's downtown core hugs Independence Avenue with modern office buildings and colonial style German architecture. The large Wernhill Shopping center spans both sides of Fidel Castro Street which ends uphill at famous Christuskirche. Post Street Mall is a pedestrian-only area with a range of shops selling handmade crafts, clothing and accessories. Finally, I cover the residential areas near downtown close to NUST college
